I bought a chicken plate fundraiser ticket , and while waiting in the drive-thru line, it smelled so good that we decided to buy a second plate. The drive-thru line was a little long, and the wait time was more than we expected; however, once we got our food, it was easy to see why. We were NOT disappointed! The chicken was smoked to perfection, the mashed potatoes were creamy, the rice was fluffy, and the beans were absolutely delicious. Everything was flavorful and cooked just right. The quality of the food more than made up for the wait. 10/10 experience—We'll definitely be coming back soon with the whole family to try the brisket!
Tried it for the first time and was very happy and very full! Prices are great for what you get! The brisket was sooo juicy and the potato salad has me thinking of this place way more often than I'd like to admit. Excited to have it again soon. 🤤
I work close by Uncle Roys's and I go there alot at least once a week. I love their potato salad and people there are always nice. So i was hesitant to write this review but i just feel its only right for people to know that recently it has been a hit or miss with uncle roys . My co worker and I always order the uncle roys special and it just seems the quality of the food is never consistent. Sometimes the rice is dry and crunchy, Sometimes its perfect. Sometimes the beans have no flavor, while other times they are delicious. Sometimes they serve you very little sides, especially when they are busy. Sometimes the chicken feels tough like it needed more time to cook, while other days like today, the chicken was fall off the bone good. However, i was disappointed because my potato salad was spoiled and tasted hot. It was super creamy because it hardly had any potatoes in it. Maybe it was the last of the potato salad, and maybe that why it was like that, who knows. It just tasted spoiled. I am not sure what happened because last year the service and quality of the food was so good. i really hope they get back to that place where they serve consistently good quality food. Until then we will not be going anymore.
